It took me quite a while to figure out why this was happening, but I'm
pretty sure I've nailed it.  Look in your pull-down history and you will
mostly likely see one or more really long URLs.  As long as those URLs
are in the history, the input field will be very long and will push the
'go' button to the right.  Right-click on the history and clear it and
I'm sure you will see the button come back.
