The offending process is:

/tmp/ksocket-tilleyrw/konquerorAKRG6b.slave-socket

I am not sure what thumbnail is(I assume it has something to do with
makeing thumbnails of images).  Try exiting KDE and login on console to
see if this process is still running:
ps aux | grep 22342

if it is, kill it.

Start kde again.
check for the process:
ps aux| grep thumbnail

if it is there then something is starting it when you start kde(what is
auto running?)
