Hi,

just tried

LANG=de_DE@euro.ISO8859-15
LC_ALL=de_DE@euro
LANGUAGE=de_DE@euro
LC_CTYPE=de_DE@euro

Note the difference to ISO-8859-15. With the above, EuroSign is accepted at
input without a problem. No need for the currency hack anymore :-D

Strange world, this is. Even in xterm the € is displayed at once correctly.
Output of xev is now correct:
KeyRelease event, serial 27, synthetic NO, window 0x2400001,
    root 0x4d, subw 0x0, time 2616352432, (501,106), root:(505,642),
    state 0x2010, keycode 26 (keysym 0x20ac, EuroSign), same_screen YES,
    XLookupString gives 1 characters:  "€"

Have fun being €-ready ;-)

It would really be nice to have an option in KDE-localization-profile that
sets this on startup automatically for KDE programs.
Also, the proposed currency for "Country&Language" is still "DM" which should
be changed to "€" before 1.1.2002.
But then it should really display alright, too.

KDM is still buggy here. No reaction on EuroSign input.

Hendrik
