I'm also having trouble with javascript, and I'm using konqueror 2.2.2-6
from unstable. It worked ok when I was using 2.2.2-2 packages, but then when
I upgraded jscript seemed to break. Downgrading back to 2.2.2-2 didn't help.
When run from a terminal, this is what I get when trying to access pages
which use javascript:

kdecore (KLibLoader): WARNING: library=kjs_html:

Also, I get a similar error with kate. That fails with:
