kdm and X-terminals

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----

Hey Folks,

This is sort of an 'off-beat' question, but here goes....

I have setup my dualie to act as master for a number of X-terminals. (gotta
love *nix!!) But any time I run my usual 'apt-get update/apt-get
dist-upgrade' I loose all the edits (okay, not a LOT, but they're MINE) to
/etc/kde2/kdm/kdmrc & /etc/kde2/kdm/XAccess. ;--)
Is there a better way of doing the upgrades to where I don't need to reedit
these files? I'm not complaining. Honest. I've been on this list for a goodly
while and noticed (time and again) that there are MUCH nicer/better ways of
doing some of these changes. So I figured I'd ask you all and see if there is
a 'better method' to this situation also.
