Problems with Home / End keys, Konsole and ssh

Hi,
there were some problems with the Home and End keys in Konsole that
have been fixed by now but one thing that is still broken is the
combination of Konsole and an ssh connection.
On the normal console, Home/End over an ssh connection works fine but
under Konsole it just does nothing when I press one of these keys.
Any ideas / fixes? Shouldn't this work out-of-the-box?
