I doubt, this is the right part of your config file. XFree4 has a Server 
layout. Maybe there is Mouse0 mentioned instead of Mouse1?
Just search in that config file for "/dev/input/mice". I'm sure it is there.
Or use "xf86cfg -textmode" to get to the point.
