Great, that works :-D :
LANG="de_DE.ISO-8859-15"
LANGUAGE="DE_DE"
LC_ALL="de_DE"

I do not much with perl anyway.
But another problem: My ".Xmodmap" gets ignored completely by X4.0.3
completely, just as the global one (/etc/X11/Xmodmap). How can I change that?
The EuroSign works with the above way with AltGR-Shift-4 but not with AltGR-e.
But when I run:
	xmodmap -e "keycode 26 = e E currency"
The AltGR-e key now works. How can I enable Xmodmap???
