Re: KDE2: Could not create view for text/html, problem still there
I had the same problem with using konqueror as a web browser. Run from the
desktop shortcut or K menu produces the "Could not create view for text/html.
Check your configuration" message. "konqueror" run from a terminal works
fine.
The desktop shortcut has the following under the "execute" tab;
kfmclient openProfile webbrowsing
Trying to run that from the command line produces the same result. Replacing
it with
konqueror openProfile webbrowsing
will
If I click on the Konqueror file manager icon on the taskbar, and type in a
URL in the location bar, I am prompted to open/save the website, and on
selecting open, get the following error message,
There appears to be a misconfiguration. You have associated konqueror with
text/html, but it can't handle this file type.
