Le mesa-sw sono degli emulatori software per le OpenGL e non forniscono
capacita' di direct-rendering; e' per questo che peggiorano le
performance dei software OpenGL (rispetto le mesa in presenza di
hardware accelerato) e non permettono l'esecuzione di quelle
applicazioni che effettuano un check sulla attivazione del DRI (vedi
compiz).
