They are random and generally invalid, so they generate bounces when people
reply to them.  In the case of the spam bouncing, then my configuration
simply drops the bounce.

I'm interested in two things:
1) What can I do to minimize traffic to my site?
2) Is there anything I can do about stopping it at the source.

I use exim (3.35 - I plan to move to exim 4 sometime soon.)  I suppose it
might be smart to enable some option like that.  I do secondary MX for some
other sites, so I do relay some mail for specific domains.  But I suppose
an option like that would know about relaying, aliases, etc.
