DDTSS rejects email adresses containing a "+"

Hi,

I tried to register a login for the DDTSS [1] and gave an email address
that contained a "+" (plus) in the local part.  This gives the error
message "Dodgy email address, try again".

I now registered with an different address, but it would be nice if the
system would allow some more symbols in addresses.
