As I understand it, the problem is that there are people there who are multilingual there and so can translate, but they don't know english. The idea being that they work from another source language. Now ofcourse a translation of a translation is likely to be slightly worse, I think it would be helpful because you can who does understand english have go over the result. Checking a translation is less work than actually translating. Are there any currently active languages that could benefit from this? I might experiment with this in the DDTSS if I get time.
