I do knot a better place to ask. What is the relationship between the
locales in glibc and the xml based locale data being built by Unicode?
Somebody was ,emtopmomg that Unicode's http://www.unicode.org/cldr
CLDR (common locale data repository), which stores locale data in XML
is intended as a replacement for the posix style locales.
I might have got some things wrong, but still...
