hi all, I'm complete newbie to hurd and to change it I tried to install H3 images, install went ok, and after rebooting with grub boot-floppy to single user mode I can see this --- cut --- Hurd server bootstrap: ext2fs.static[hd0s1] exec init proc auth. /libexec/console-run: /dev/console: No such file or directory (serverboot): terminating, not becoming default pager /libexec/console-run: Using temporary console /tmp/console /hurd/init: /libexec/runsystem terminated abnormally (Killed) /libexec/console-run: /dev/console: No such file or directory /libexec/console-run: /tmp/console: Device or resource busy /libexec/console-run: Using temporary console /tmp /hurd/init: /bin/sh terminated abnormally (Killed) /libexec/console-run: /dev/console: No such file or directory /libexec/console-run: /tmp/console: Not a directory /libexec/console-run: /hurd/term: Not a directory /libexec/console-run: /tmp: Device or resource busy --- cut --- and here the system hangs, it just echoes all keypresses I've managed to get a shell prompt by pressing Ctrl+S somewhere around when Hurd server boootstrap message appeared, but invoking ./native-install yields just (Killed) messages.. the same (Killed) happens to all commands including ls, etc. Tried to search archives but so far no luck yep and the system info, VMWare 3.0 workstation with IDE virtual disk rgds, martin -- 1024D/6E060223 2CC0 4AF6 92DA 5CBF 5F09 7BCB 6202 7024 6E06 0223 http://mman.dyndns.org/mman.gpg
