G1 CD images
Roland McGrath has copied the three G1 images to
ftp://ftp.gnu.org/pub/gnu/hurd/contrib/iso/hurd-G1/hurd-G1-CDx.iso
The only problem is that at the moment they cannot be accessed. Let us
hope that they are being copied.
There are three images. There are now too many Hurd specific binaries to
fit on the first CD, so games and some graphics are on the second. All
the Hurd packages, main, contrib and non-US are on the CDs, including the
problematical ones which are found in the "unstable-extra" tree on the
third CD. The Packages list for this tree has been renamed
"packages.extra".
I now build baseHurd.tgz (the tarball) as part of the creation process of
the images, so it is right up to date. The CDs now have a "proper" file
structure (except for unstable-extra).
