I'm using 0.9.3, made a dist-upgrade and upped the kernel to the
recent CVS snapshot (2.4.17-pa27).

This is a 712/80. 

I built the network drivers as modules. Upon booting the network
driver was not loaded automatically.

Once I typed: "modprobe i82586", messages were scrolling by too fast
for me too read. I had to power cycle.
