I'd like to echo my support for git too. This is the tool that most of
Debian seems to be moving towards, and while teams are of course free
to choose a different one if they so please, I would personally
appreciate not having to learn yet another packaging workflow when I
already know svn/git and they are both serving me just fine.
We can use DEHS if we have good watch files to keep track of our
upstream version synchronisation, which is the major benefit of the
PET IMO. I don't know that PET works for anything other than svn,
I don't have a good answer to the forwarding patches problem, except
to suggest that it would be prudent to have a separate copy of the
upstream repo and to darcs send from that anyway. This mean that you
can't cherry-pick, but I don't think it's such a big deal.
