GNOME Applications Menu Problem

Hello,

I have a serious problem that when I click the GNOME menu, it doesn't 
open... Just incase, I created another user account but same thing 
happened.. You can see here [1] a picture of the problem..

Please help me.. It's really annoying..

When I click the Applications menu, it just show up for a second and it 
disappears but my selection remains... And there's a little tiny 1 px 
box under it.. You can see it in the image..
