gnome-settings-daemon seems to be running, and gconfd-2 also. I have also
rebooted, didn't help..

There are some errors like this in .xsession-errors:

(evolution-2.4:14367): e-canvas.c-CRITICAL **: e_canvas_item_grab_focus:
assertion TK_WIDGET_CAN_FOCUS (GTK_WIDGET (item->canvas))' failed

** (gnome-terminal:13919): WARNING **: No handler for control sequence
'Device-control-string' defined.

(evolution-2.4:14367): camel-WARNING **: camel_exception_get_id called with
NULL parameter.

** (galeon:14294): CRITICAL **: gul_gui_image_set_from_mime_type: assertion
con_info != NULL' failed

All of those are repeated many times.. but I don't know if those are
related..
