Amusingly enough, I had tried that very thing earlier.  Apparently
didn't restart gdm hard enough before mailing the list, because when I
sat down at my computer later, GDM was already using antialiased fonts.

I'm not sure what you're asking here-- you have antialised fonts above,
but then you say you don't?
