Daniel,
   If you use the debian glibc cvs branch for glibc 2.2.5, please 
remove the glibc2.2.6-nice patch from it. That patch is not accepted
into glibc-2-2-branch or glibc-2.3. It will cause programs built
under a glibc 2.2.5 using it to have a nice versioned on
GLIBC_2.2.6 instead of GLIBC_2.0. This means those programs built
against it will break with glibc 2.2.93 or else we will have to
adopt that patch into debian glibc 2.3 cvs (which will break
portability with other distros). Since the programs this patch
addresses have been rebuilt upstream, this patch is not only
unneeded but dangerous.
