I would just ask at first whether anybody is actually maintaining
gnuserv (I'm not sure somebody does) and if so if they might consider
either adding an option or ini-file to allow binding gnuserv to a
specific interface and port. Providing your patch is probably a good
step to gain attention :-)

I have actually no idea what the response might be. Judging from the
reactions to my latest bug report to xemacs-beta, currently there is
not too much activity in XEmacs development.
