So having an ugly desktop which every user will see is not major?
I think the users might disagree with that. And yes it is a workaround,
which I just used, because of the close release.
I would now also vote for completely removing the desktop icons as
we might miss some icons or alter the packages and having them in
the normal kde menu should be sufficient.
