Great, so even this extra point 3) is reduced to a plain configuration issue.

I guess the distinguishing is then done in some script? (All the
debian-edu-configs that end up on a server and not on workstations etc.) Could
that script put/move the profiles selectively into /usr/share/etc? Just like it
leaves other main-server-only things in /etc on tjener?
