Hello, On a computer with a LDAP server with configuration files from debian-edu I keep getting this anonying message: ldap_bind: Invalid credentials (49) That is most likely a wrong password, but it is something else. resetting the LDAP password returns Success. But it doesn't help, the message keeps coming. stappers@tw89:~ $ ldappasswd -xw foo -D cn=admin,ou=people,dc=gst,dc=stappers,dc=nl -s foo \ cn=smbadmin,ou=people,dc=gst,dc=stappers,dc=nl Result: Success (0) stappers@tw89:~ $ ldapsearch -xw foo -D cn=smbadmin,ou=people,dc=gst,dc=stappers,dc=nl \ -b dc=gst,dc=stappers,dc=nl ldap_bind: Invalid credentials (49) stappers@tw89:~ $ What I'm asking is to where search next? And: do report recent slapd servers ldap_bind: Insufficient access ? Cheers Geert Stappers
