Re: Some notes on testing upgrade from woody to sarge

Well, the sarge installation problem is no big mystery to me, and I
hope to leave that part to Joey. There is only hard work left to do
Upgrading on the other hand was undrafted land, so I want to know and
report the problems found. It will take a few months to have these
issues resolved, so the sooner we start the better. :)
I've started on a test report page on
<URL:http://developer.skolelinux.no/~pere/upgrade-testing/>, but there
are still lots of problems left to check out.
The simple issues are the packages which ask questions and refuses to
upgrade even if they are untouched from woody (tetex-base, lyx, etc).
The harder issues are the packages that ask questions and throw away
my configuration after upgrade (autofs-ldap). I hope we can detect
and document all such problems with the packages in Debian edu.
