| As an alternative I think we should be happy to pull from a git branch
| and review that way. As it is, I wasn't easily able to see the full
| patch from Tollef. Where can I find it please ?

from the original mail of this thread:

: It can be gotten from git://git.err.no/dpkg in the master branch
: (sorry about that, it should probably have gone in a separate
: branch).

Note that this branch now contains the current point I'm at, and I
think I might end up squashing commits as suggested by others here
when merging it into another branch.

| I agree with most of Guillem's comments. Tollef, if you need any help
| I would be happy to help fix up your patch. (I also don't think we
| should be worrying about whitespace on blank lines.)

I'm fine working on it by myself, but I have limited amounts of free
time, so I'm expecting progress to be too rapid. If you do have any
fixes, I'm of course happy to accept those; either mail them to -dpkg
or publish a git branch somewhere.
