Ok, it's now:

dialup and ppp networking
  use pppconfig (see pppconfig(8))
    or
  add username and password to /etc/pap-secrets or /etc/chap-secrets
  make copy of /etc/ppp/peers/provider in same directory and modify it
  make copy of /etc/chatscripts/provider in same directory and modify it

I believe it isn't absolutely mandatory to use pppconfig, so I included
the other method as well. Correct me if I'm wrong, or if anything
is missing from the manual method.
