Ack, I've also read the "no reaction within 7 days" as "no short mail
to the BTS withing the first seven days".

I'd prefer to narrow this down to visible activity in the bug report;
if we have to hunt down maintainers on all possible and impossible
channgles, that doesn't scale ...
