Moreover, if the Sources descriptions are essentially the same as the
descriptions of binary packages, the translation effort would not be
that great (essentially, splitting the current binary descriptions).

I agree that it entails some infrastructure adaptations, and that
putting it in .dsc is the way to go. I am no DD, anyway.
