No matter what? I disagree. The correct fix should be implemented,
rather than an ugly hackish fix. If you do the ugly hackish
quick-and-dirty fix first, and make an error in that one afterwards, you
end up having to deal with that as well. It's better to keep the
situation as is, take your time to figure out what the best solution is,
and implement that.

Of course, that doesn't mean this can take ages, but that isn't
happening AFAICS.

If it's really a problem for you, you can always download the previous
version of the package and keep it on hold until the bug is fixed.

This is unstable, after all.
