I'm on the outside as well. It seems to me that this is more about
personal differences than contributing to Debian, but Sven is trying to
spin it the other way. It appears that he has the know-how to provide a
patch but won't unless he can commit it himself, which is not something
that seems overly community-friendly, and is probably not a way to build
bridges.
