This is an X server that sits on top of any GLX-capable X server and
processes X events using OpenGL. This allows it to take advantage of
hardware acceleration provided you have the drivers available. 

This package is actually built from the xserver-xorg-core package (hence
the version number) and thus will be maintained by the X Strike Force.
