I don't know whether this really needs repeating with every package
name, but in case it needs, here's my word, as one of the teTeX
maintainers in Debian:

Please don't pollute the namespace. Please use a name that indicates
that this package will only be useful for GNUstep users, but not for
all other LaTeX users.

By the way, there is no package "tex".
