It depends on what you mean with "related". I'm (probably, not sure yet)
going to submit a paper on gmetadom together with the main upstream
authors. gmetadom is debian packaged (source package "gmetadom"), but
frankly there is nothing particularly interesting in the relation
between debian and gmetadom: it's yet another debian packaged library.
The paper will be proposed for the GUADEC main track and will be focused
on its software architecture and developement process.
