Howto force dpkg to update package infos
Since the package cvs still has the ridiculous recommends of the
info-browser and dselect still wants to install it, I've change the
Packages file and tried to feed it to dpkg --update-avail (--force-all).
But probably because the version of the cvs package didn't change dpkg
doesn't update. How can I solve this:
1. File bugs against cvs, dselect and/or dpkg?
2. Update the version of the cvs package?
3. Tweak the dpkg repository (how)?
