I've noticed that libpaper-utils was buggy, and instead of creating /etc/papersize in postinst, it created /letter I think it started from since last month, so if you installed sid from scratch using debootstrap or whatever other method you may have had, you may have a broken system wrt libpaper :P regards, junichi
