Bleh. See the deb(5) manual page.
NAME
deb - Debian binary package format
SYNOPSIS
filename.deb
DESCRIPTION
The .deb format is the Debian binary package file format.
[snip]
Thomas said "There are no non-free Debian packages, because non-free
packages are not part of Debian.". The non-free .debs are still .debs,
hence my suggestion that we shouldn't discuss wording and instead
discuss the real issue at hand.
FYI it is very clear to me what is part of Debian GNU/Linux and what is not.
