SANE changing hands

Hi,

Kevin Dalley, current maintainer of the SANE packages in Debian
(sane-backends, sane-frontends, xsane source packages), agreed in a
private mail to me and Aurélien JARNO taking over the maintenance of
SANE. [1]

Thus, we are going to upload new versions of the SANE packages this
week-end. At the moment, these packages are up on :

deb http://people.debian.org/~jblache/SANE unstable main
deb http://people.debian.org/~aurel32/SANE stable main
(packages for stable will appear shortly)

(sane-backends 1.0.8-3, sane-frontends 1.0.8-2, xsane 0.88-2)

I am waiting for libieee1284 0.2.3-2 to be autobuilt before
uploading. As the new SANE packages introduce new binary packages, it
may take some time before they are effectively ACCEPTed by the
ftpmasters.

The unstable repository on people.debian.org will remain up until all
packages are installed into the archive. Experimental packages will
appear on people.debian.org after 1.0.9 will be released upstream, as
I'd like to split libsane in a bunch of smaller binary packages.

Thanks to all the people who helped out, we'll do our best to keep
SANE in a good shape.
