Thanks, I see, they are needed.

Now I'm behind a fat internet connection and was able to have a look
at the packages for myself, wouldn't splitting out the common parts
to a separat package be possible, or is it going to change which
directories cannot be shared, and therefore be much work to maintain
the splitting?
