What to do with transient bugs?

Greetings,

I am a new-maintainer applicant, and I am now preparing the new wdm
package for Daniel Patterson. When I browse through the BTS page,
I noticed that there are quite a few "transient bugs", ie. those that
seem to happen only for the bug reporter and nobody else (bug #38391,
#41337, #50916, and #51740 are a few examples). Now my problem is,
what do we do about them? They cannot actually be "fixed" because
nobody knows what caused them (or even if they are indeed there, as
they cannot be reproduced).

I am thinking about contacting the original bug reporters to see if
their problems persist, if not (or the reporters cannot be reached
within a week or so), then close the bugs. Is that a good idea?
