I've built bind .debs on a pure slink system (ah, the luxury of
VMware), and am quite certain that it's built and linked against
libc6-2.0.7. Towards the end of the build, it even spits out:
gcc-2.7.2.3-7
libc6-2.0.7.19981211
libc6-dev-2.0.7.19981211
binutils-2.9.1.0.19a-2
ldso-1.9.10-1
make-3.77-4
dpkg-dev-1.4.0.35
It also installs and runs fine on my slink system. It's signed with my
old (PGP) Debian key, since I'm don't want to muck around with GPG on my
pristine system. If you'd like to pull a copy, you can get it from:
http://pongo.mancill.com/debian/bind
I haven't incremented the version number or anything; I'll track this
down with the security folks and see if we need a binary NMU.
