It didn't work for me either. :(
I'm really not sure what is wrong. I tried reverting back to Brian's
package setup, i.e. using his diff, but I still ran into the problem you
were having with my imlib packages. I guess I'll take a closer look at
the gdk-imlib code and perhaps bother Raster.

Incidentally, I resolved two non-code related bugs reported by Wichert and
Ben G. (I think) regarding registering with dhelp and moving imlib-config
to the imlib-dev package (including a man page for it). Once the packages
get uploaded those bugs will get cleared.
There was one bug regarding a seg fault in a glib function that was
reported as an imlib bug. I wonder if it should have been a glib bug
report. Anyone?
