This is a good point. We should encourage RMS to fix the GPL.

Well, as I see it as long as we are converging on our goal we're
doing ok.
At some point, I suppose we need to sponsor compatible replacements for
the above standards. But that doesn't mean we have to be
creating new standards which are akward for us to use.
