Wrong Debian 2.0 CD-Images !
Hello,
On July 29th I downloaded the binary-i386.raw image from
cub.coe.missouri.edu . After burning a CD-Rom and trying it, it
revealed some missing kernel modules, i.e: fat and vfat. Also Samba
isn't okay. Also there are some typos in various messages.
After checking the MD5 with cdimage.debian.org it appeared that it
was surely an image of a beta.
So here are my $0.05:
Would it be possible for future realeses to put up a network of well
connected mirrors, at least one per continent, to coordinate the
procedure of image upload, and to grant access only after the upload
has been confirmed to be okay.
Cheers,
Phil
P.S: I'm no member of this list.
