automatic package creation
i read on the automake mailing list, that someone is working on a
general packageing interface. the idea is to provide all informations
needed to package something in the source, so that rpm's and freebsd
packages can be created without extra work. sun's packagetool is also
supported (as far as i heard).
someone from debian should join that team.
i gave some information about debian's packaging method,
but i can't do more.
