Re: Bug#6394: dpkg: dselect's treatment of Recommends
I have been reading all this talk about how dselect treats recommends like
depends and that this makes it very hard on the user. I, however, have not
had a big problem with this, b/c yes dselect will automatically select the
recommended packages when I go to the resolving screen. But, dselect keeps
a record of what I had the package set at b/4. All I have to do is switch
it back and shift-Q out of the screen. I have done this a few times and it
seems to work pretty well.
