Bug#1163: diplogin, routing

I'm not sure I understand the routing diagram of your network. It sounds
like the Debian system is a SLIP server, but what are the SLIP clients?
Are the systems that can't get to the Internet going through the SLIP
line to the Debian system?

The systems that expect the Debian system to be a gateway probably need
a default route that says to direct packets to the Debian system.
