Re: Bug#1273: less help file is a configuration file?
Is there any strong feeling or group consensus one way or the other
about how this should be handled for programs with help text in
separate files? Declare those files conffiles, as a general rule,
or not?
This is an interesting one.
If we can't arrive at a consensus, maybe we ought to give the site
administrator a way of marking certain files a conffiles even though
they're not officially such?
By the way, a literal interpretation of the FSSTND implies to me that
less should be modified such that the language of the help file could
be specifiable on a per-user basis. However, this kind of work is
way outside of the debian charter.
